Hummingbirds
Humming as you fly
up in the air,
murmuring stories from places fair.
Maroon at your throat,
iridescent wings,
no other bird can match you- you fly in rings.
Gayly you dance,
but you never move,
indeed, your still flight is a presence that soothes.
Reds how I call you
drink long as you please,
So long as kitty’s locked in and does not have the keys!
